about

At just 21 years old, Kaspar’s aim is to keep the tradition of Blues and Southern Rock alive while also appealing to a young audience. Be it channeling the raw sound and distress of Son House’s vocals, emulating the virtuosity of the Allman Brothers, or presenting a flamboyant performance in the manner of Guitar Slim.
Kaspar has had a great passion for blues and vintage music since he was 12 and has been often described as a 100-year-old soul in the body of a 21-year-old as he continues to baffle people with a raw sound in 2021 and he plans to continue to do that with his new album.
The story of this album starts in Mia (Drummer) and Seb’s (bassist) slug-infested student flat in Leeds.
With only a couple of songs prewritten, Kaspar traveled to Leeds from Saint Albans with the aim of creating something spontaneous and refreshing to the blues while also honoring its ethos and traditional values.
This album was recorded in the living room of this house, but using just what they had to hand, the 3 music students were able to achieve near studio quality by using their recording situation to their advantage.
Some notable tracks on the album -
Police Dog Blues, this a fiery fast version of Blind Blake's original song from the ’30s.
Redbull (Lights Out), originally a slow acoustic version, Kaspar reworked his caffeine-induced blues song into a sound that is reminiscent of Elmore James.
If It Didn’t Matter, what started as a slightly drunken jam turned into a nearly fully improvised song about accepting the inevitability of death drenched in euphoria.
